Just Making Sure…

that we all remember a couple things.

1.  The Hold Steady is amazing.  I can’t get enough of these guys latealy.  It’s everything you love about Bruce Springsteen and everything you love about indie rock!  Plus they recorded a wonderful version of Take Me Out To the Ballgame , that even if it is about the Minesotta Twins that makes me yearn for hot summer nights at the ballpark.

2.  Laura Veirs is totally underated.  You need to get the new record by Veirs called “saltbreakers” (you can hear the title track here).  I bought it last night off of iTunes and it has a sweet extra track that makes the iTunes purchase totally worth it.  She’ll be in Cleveland on May 11.  We should go.
